Challenger Division Rules
Will have eight teams:
- Angels 2
- Dodgers
- Diamondbacks
- Longhorns
- Rockies
- Texas Rangers
- Yankees
- Young Guns
- Four pitches by player's coach, if ball not hit by then, place ball on tee.
- Strike and ball count is the same. Can be called out by 3 strikes.
- No throwing the bat or will be called out immediately.
- After three outs, the bases are cleared and no runs are scored.
- Each team bats through the roster.
We will adhere to these with no exceptions.
When a player is up to bat and uses a wheelchair or walker, it is up to the coach to place that player in the correct position to bat the ball. We need to be TEACHING THEM. EVERYTHING WE DO IN CHALLENGER IS TEACHING. THE BUDDIES ARE KEY TO THIS AS WELL. COACHES NEED TO INSTRUCT THE BUDDIES WHAT THEY WANT THEM TO DO WITH EACH PLAYER.
Plus, mobile players should run to the base without assistance but a buddy will run at his/her side. There is no reason we should be holding hands with the players if there is not a need. If a player uses a wheelchair, the buddy is the one held responsible if the player is put out. So we need these buddies to make sure the player is strapped in and go!
