Fundraisers

April 28, 2010 - The Miracle League will be selling $5 tickets to Bart Reed's Comedy Show featuring Mike D from Power 102 and Eddie Griffen. All proceeds will benefit the Miracle League.

May 1, 2010 - The annual Cars at the Park car show will be held at Miracle League Field (Ponder Park). Entry fee is $20.00 for pre-entry or $25.00 the day of the show. Entry fee includes one t-shirt, lunch for two, and one door prize ticket. Setup is from 10am-12noon with the show running from 12:00-6pm. The awards ceremony is at 5:00pm. We always need help with lunch time at the ballpark. If you wish to help with any of these fundraisers call Sandie at 779-4770 or go to the Calendar page to volunteer online.

Announcements

We are currently working on basketball and soccer leagues. For more information contact the office.

We are also forming softball leagues for our parents and family members. This will help with the normal everyday frustrations, get us back into shape and form new friendships among our league community. We have a few people who have already notified us of their desire to participate but we still need more. We were hoping to form teams from each Miracle League team we have. Might be fun and then we can look at forming some volleyball teams as well.

Needed

A dedicated and artsy craftsy person who is willing to undertake a huge project, like a wonderful, beautiful scrapbook for the league. Only serious, interested people should apply (volunteer). I have tons of pictures and newspaper articles already. I want it to be a showcase of our work.

Site Features and Functions

1. Navigation

   As you mouse over the yellow column to the left you may see popup menus, depending on your browser. If you do not see the popups, then the links can be found at the top of the page just below the red divider.
   
   We now have a link for the League Standings from the Teams page.

2. Interactive Calendar

   Our calendar is interactive. Events on the calendar that require volunteers will be underlined. By clicking on these events a window will open inviting you to help. You may either accept or decline. To accept you must enter your email address and password.
   ** You must first Register Online to accept **.
   
   The calendar will also send email reminders out to volunteers to remind them of events they are scheduled to help with.
   
   There is a Print Calendar function so that you can print a month's schedule to put up on your refrigerator.

3. Register to Volunteer Online

   If you select the Register link that appears at the top of each page a new window will open. In the new window that opens you must enter your first name, last name, email address, and a password. Your email address becomes your Login id.
   ** YOU WILL NEED TO PRINT OUT THE VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION FORM AND SIGN IT **
   
   Once registered you may:

   1. Accept invitations from the calendar to help.
   2. Login and:
      1. Review assignments.
      2. Change your password.
      3. Decline an assignment if your schedule changes.

4. Register a Player Online

   You may file a 'Player Registration Form' online now. Just navigate to the Teams page and select Register a Player Online.

5. Pay your child's registration fee online through PayPal.

6. Make donations online through PayPal.
